Easy-to-Follow Cleaning Methods For The Microwave Oven
Most kitchens these days surely got a microwave oven. And why not, as this single piece of appliance is very versatile. From making snacks like popcorn, reheating food from the ref to making dishes - you name it, this oven can do it. However, it's also one of those appliances which often receive less cleaning and maintenance.
There are many varieties of it available in the market today. Although varying, cleaning and maintenance basically remain the same. The most popular kind is the countertop microwave oven. Cleaning it usually involves getting rid of food fragments clinging on the inside walls. The same is true with the lingering food odors.
Before cleaning, make sure that you unplug the oven for your safety. Spray the inside with orange kitchen spray, letting it stand for at least a few minutes. You may also use club soda placed in a spray bottle. If you wish to use homemade cleaners, you can make a paste of baking soda with vinegar. Or you may simply use vinegar as a spray.
After a few minutes, wipe the inside of the oven with a damp towel or sponge. Rinse it in warm water as necessary, cleaning the entire of the oven's interiors. Afterwards, dry using a paper towel. Sometimes, some ovens require other special cleaning considerations. For example, if you own a GE microwave, check the manual that comes with the package to be sure.
Eliminating the smell inside the oven is not at all that difficult. Get 2-3 lemons, cut them into thin slices, and place in a bowl of water. Heat it in the microwave for around 5 minutes. You may also use a cup of water with a tablespoon of vinegar. The same is true with lemon juice sold at grocery stores.
Having an over the range microwave means having to clean two different appliances. Cleaning the vent part requires you to take it apart. Carefully detach the hood filter. Let it soak for 5 minutes in warm water. Afterwards, spray with your preferred cleaning solution. Let it work there for about 15 minutes before scrubbing it with a pad that's non-abrasive. Rinse it with water afterwards.
For cleaning the inside of the vent itself, again, spray it with your preferred cleaning solution. Avoid spraying the light part and crevices with the solution. Let it soak for 15 minutes to soften the dirt. Afterwards, wipe off the solution with a damp sponge or towel. Once completely clean, dry the inside of the vent with a paper towel and put back the hood filter.

Frequently Asked Questions...
GE Fridge water filter replacement?
Have a side by side GE Fridge model number TFX25JRBB - WW
Wondering if there is a filter for the water to replace on this model. If so then where is it located and how to replace?
I checked where you said, top shelf right , in both the freezer and fridge section and i see nothing there, no cannister. There is really nothing anywhere that looks like there could be a filter behind. I was wondering if i have to take apart the icemaker maybe to acess something but nothing visable in either fridge or freezer that i can see
Answer:
According to GE your model does not have a filter so you’ll need to install one in the rear splicing into the water inlet line.
