New Water Filter but No Water in Maytag Fridge?
We recently bought a house and the previous owner left us a Maytag fridge. For some reasons, the previous owner did not use drinking water from the fridge so he did not install a water filter in the fridge but replaced it with a plug. Last week, I bought a water filter from Home Depot and installed it in the fridge. But when I tried to get the water for drinking with my glass, there's no water. I had the ice maker turned on, but there's no ice either. Does anybody know what's wrong with my fridge? Is the water not coming in the fridge? Is there a valve to turn on/off the in coming water to the fridge?

Well, the fridge does need to be hooked up to a water source - have you confirmed that's actually the case? (Sorry - you didn't specify in your original post!) If the previous owner never used the water, he may never have even bothered to connect it to the water source.
If its not connected at all, I'd recommend trying to obtain a copy of the owner's manual. (If it wasn't left behind when you purchased the house, you may be able to get it via the Maytag website.) That should give you all the technical info you need to take care of it.
