Hi everyone,
I'm working on a group project in college to create a mini water purification/filtration/desalination system to model a full scaled version that could be constructed at a beach to pipe in salt water from the ocean into a tank, where it could go through a reverse osmosis filter and carbon filter, and then pumped up to a faucet. For the final project it just needs to be a mini (but working) version of this.
My group has a budget of about $900. Can anyone suggest a good reverse osmosis machine that would serve our purpose? It would need to collect water from a holding tank.

You may want to try out solar distillation and make a solar still, it could separate your team from the crowd. Then use a solar pump to pump the output to the faucet. A 100% free standing system would be pretty cool.
