Which Water Filter is best for Removing Iron from Water?
Most often we get confused when it comes to choose a water purifier who will give you the best quality water. What about advertisements on TV? Each company flaunts their product the best in the industry. So, what's the best option? I think it's the time to procure more knowledge and make a sagacious decision.
Iron is water is a disturbing problem and especially when it stains clothes, bath tubs, sinks and results into discoloration. I would suggest doing some research on different water filters. Not all iron water filters do the same thing and you will not need an ineffective system as they can be expensive. Sometimes people find iron with water along with hard water. This is the reason why a large number of people install a water softener, but much often the actual sediments are not filtered out.
In case of water softener, you need to change the salt quite regularly if you have high iron content and your water is hard. A water softener is not the most effective equipment to treat iron in water.
Reverse Osmosis Water Filter is a good option to remove more than just iron if you have other issues with water as well. The only downside with this system is that it is able to remove all the contaminants but the minerals as well. If you have issues with large number of iron sediments then it is good to use sediment pre filters.
If you is short of money and want the clean water safely and comfortably, then I would suggest buying a standard countertop water filter or under counter water filter. It implies that you will get the treated drinking water but not normal water that won't put stains on your clothes.
