Use Arsenic Water Filter To Eliminate Arsenic Totally
Arsenic is not a natural content of water. Therefore, if arsenic is found in water, it usually originates from metallurgical works or mining. Apart from metallurgical works and mining, farming using fertilizers made from arsenic can also pollute the water. Important to note is that arsenic and phosphate are chemically similar. Hence, commercially-use phosphate may contain arsenic too. Arsenic is actually a very harmful substance. It is classified as carcinogen, or cancer-causing substance, by the US EPA. With an MCL of 0.05mg/l, arsenic is lethal.

If anion exchange method is used, 90-100% of arsenic can be eliminated. Ninety percent can be eliminated by reverse osmosis and ninety-eight percent by distillation. Arsenic can oxidize and coagulate if it is in its original form, and the solidified substance can be removed.

will buying a higher flow rate membrane of a reverse osmosis save more water?
It takes quite a few number of hours for the standard Watts Premier RO to fill 3 gallons of water. They say it's 4 gallon of waste water to get 1 gallon of filtered water. What happens if I replace the RO membrane with one that has higher output, say going from a 50 to a 75 or 100 gallon per day membrane, will that save more water?
If you haven't used RO, please do not comment. When I mention "wasted" water, I mean the city water that is wasted. as you know, on average RO wastes 4 gallons of city water to every 1 gallon of city water. please post only relevant answers.

Depends what you mean by "save more water". Reverse Osmosis converts normally sea (or saline) water to fresh water by forcing it through a membrane of a certain density. You can get a bigger one and you will fill your tank quicker, but as for saving water, don't see the relevance as the water that is "wasted" is no good to you as it is brine.

I've been working with reverse osmosis units for 3 years and in the water industry for over 4 years.
As far as was "saving" water, no you wouldn't. The ratio will stay the same. 4:1 is the setting based on the manufacturer of the membrane. The variables dependent that can change the amount of water wasted is based on temperature and pressure. Your money is better spent on a permeate pump or a way to make the raise the temperature of the water.
My personal choice is to use a permeate pump because raising the pressure not only increases the flow of product water but it also raises the rejection rate of the membrane.
Raising the temperature can also increase flow and decrease waste water production but the problem with raising the temperature is that is lowers the rejection rate of the membrane.
