Clogged cold water bathtub faucet manifold?
I do NOT have a whole house filter on my house. We have a well so of course I have been fighting clogged filters in all of my faucets for years (I know I am a glutton for punishment). So, I recently put a in new bathtub faucet assembly because the old one was just cheap and looked bad. Almost immediately the cold water had very little pressure. I mean VERY little. I was to defeated to tear it all apart again so I just left it for a few months. I did not get much worse but it is now to the point were you can hardly take a shower that is not HOT.
For those of you that know what the inside of a manifold looks like, maybe u can see my problem. Is there a trick to getting a pebble out of that little waterway? I am not sure how clear I am on this problem but I am at the point where I am going to have to buy a bunch of caps and plugs to put on it to try to blow the sediment out the way it came it...Not looking forward to that!
Answer:
At this point you need to seriously consider at best, removing all fixture connections and blowing out all the lines, at worst, a re-pipe.
I'd guess your filters are clogging from accumulated pipe scale/mineral deposits. Something a whole house filter would not fix but something a water softner would.
I'd try using fine wire to clear the manifold passage ways.
